T he blogging world is truly a DIYer's dream. It's filled with such wonderful ideas, projects and never-ending inspiration. That seemingly endless abundance of creativity is at the heart of my new regular blog column, called AROUND TOWN.
I've kicked off this first installment of AROUND TOWN with two of my own favorite projects from my blog this month.
Throughout the rest of this post, allow me to share a handful of other great looking projects and ideas crafted by fellow bloggers who love the season as much as I do.
I love how Donna used chalk paint and vintage images to embellish her pumpkins here. You can see more on how this display was put together over at the The Decorated House.
Debbie from Confessions of a Plate Addict put this cute pillow together.
I have a particular affinity for rustic, country crafts and this burlap vintage pumpkin pillow certainly fits the bill. It's a super cute and super easy project.
If you've never popped over to Craftberry Bush you'll be in for a treat when you do. Lucy has the most amazing posts filled with lovely photos and projects that are beautifully presented.
Her linen spoon table marker tutorial is clever and easy to follow. I think these spoon markers would look fantastic on any table, whatever the season and I'll definitely try this out myself.
Jenn over at Clean and Scentsible reminds us that it doesn't take much to create great seasonal accessories and displays.
I really like her harvest sign and this is the kind of simple, wooden letter technique that will may make you wonder "now, why didn't I think of that?".
Rock painting has been around forever but I can't remember the last time I saw cuter stones.
Are these little guys sweet, or what?
Stop by Creek Line House for a closer look at Courtenay's adorable stone pumpkin project.
Creating a mercury glass project is defnitely on my list of things to do soon.
Karianne from Thistlewood Farm did a beautiful job with her mercury glass pumpkins and she has a super easy tutorial that proves the process is easier than you may thin.
As you can see from the photo below, Kate from Centsational Girl has an eye and talent for creating magazine-worthy presentations.
Check out how she made these glitter webs which really make her spooky shelf really shine (or should I say scream).

I think Shelly's project is one more example that just about anything can be decoupaged and look fantastic.
I love the fun, whimsical paper she selected.
You can see the step-by-step on how to make these altered pumpkins over at Shelly's Creations.
Carolyn who blogs over at Homework used vintage photos to make these amazingly scary jars.
A few branches and netting complete the creepy presentation for a spooktacular result.

So many great ideas, so little time to tell every story.
That's a quick look at just a small handful of the many wonderful projects around blogland that caught my eye.
AROUND TOWN will now be a regular feature on this blog so stay tuned for more installments in the weeks to come.
COMING UP ON MONDAY
You may have noticed over the last few weeks, I've been participating in various Linky Parties across Blogland. Linky parties are a great way to share projects you're proud of, get noticed by other bloggers and at the same time find new inspiration on blogs you may not have ever visited before.
For the first time, I'll be hosting my own Linky Party where you can share the DIY projects, home decor ideas and recipes you love and want to show off.
Hope you pop by again on Monday (10/29) for the first installment of my new, regular linky column on this blog.
Share YOUR projects, ideas and recipes next week in my new linky column
"OPEN HOUSE"
See you then. ♥

Really pretty. The fact is that anyone with artistic sensibilties can turn anything into a work of art. Who needs expensive carpets and sculptures when you can make some so pretty for free
