It's Spring and flowering trees and shrubs are coming back to life in glorious colors.  Along with the new season, comes the task of also getting gardens and flower beds into tip top shape.

may be a bit late to the Downton Abbey party but now that I'm here, I understand why so many people have been raving about this British, PBS Masterpiece series.

If you haven't already watched it, don't worry no spoilers here. 

Instead, I'll walk you through the two main character groups, share how this hugely popular series has now influenced a new fashion line and I'll also give you a list of other great series/movies that fall within the same genre.

pring is in the air and with the change in season, you'll soon start to see a few changes around this blog too.  Regular readers know that I typically post a new entry on the 1st and 15th of the month.

A Century of OREOS

f there's any cookie that takes you back to childhood, it's gotta be the OREO cookie.  If you're old enough to eat a cookie, you've no doubt eaten your share of good old fashioned OREOS.

Foyer Tweaking

ometimes a space just needs a little pick-me-up.  That's how I felt about my foyer.  Actually, I've never really put much thought into the space even though it's the first area seen when walking through the front door. 

No doubt ignoring your foyer will get you an "F" in most Decorating-101 classes.  So I decided to apply some long overdue changes to this area.
